One decade of my attending classes

With the blessings of god and co-operation & help from my teachers I completed five years of my attending the classes in the Braille Institute. I was so much impressed and motivated by the academic environment of the institute that I completed one decade in the Orange County Brail Institute in 2006.

So I was happy that my dream was fulfilled and feelings have been changed into reality.

It is true that if a person makes any determination with the core of his heart for any good work, he succeeds in his mission with sincere efforts.

After my retirement it was my dream to get more education in America, if I have a chance to live here (U.S.A.). During my visit in 1985 I started to go to La-Mirada, High School which was near to our residence (in Nor Walk).

During that period I participated in an Annual function of the school. The teacher told us that if any body wanted to take part in the function he had to wear the standard dress of their country. Accordingly I took part in that function and the photographs of that august occasion are affixed below:

Therefore, it was the beginning of my mission to get education from this wonderful country after my retirement.

When I again came I attended classes in Cypress College, Cypress, in Orange County. In the college, I got 82% marks at the time of admission. I liked the atmosphere as well as the discipline of the staff and the students of the College.

It is also very essential to mention here about the admission of my wife in a college in the U.S.A. My wife did not go to school in India during her life because there was no tradition of sending the girls to schools specially from the rural areas. But when we came to America my wife got a chance to go to college in Orange County Cypress college. Moreover, when we come to America she started learning Punjabi Language. Now a days she can read books and Newspapers in Punjabi Language. The most important thing is that she does Path of ‘Assa di war’ and ‘Rehraas’ daily in the morning and in the evening.

I along with my wife and the family members pray to almighty God that he may bless America with more prosperity and progress in future so that America keeps helping the world and especially the under developed countries.
